I graduated from Western Michigan University where I majored in education with a minor in integrated language arts and creative arts. I also did some graduate work in education before moving from Michigan.

I have been involved in education for nearly twenty years, but this will be my sixteenth year of teaching middle school.

What I most love about teaching is that it is constantly changing. Each day,week,and year is different. It is inspiring to me to know that kids are eager to learn about new ideas and concepts. I enjoy learning along with them and appreciate their perspectives as well.

As this is my fifth year at Stone Valley Middle School, I look forward to meeting the students, the staff, and the wonderful community I have heard so much about. I want to make seventh-grade core an adventure you won't forget!

I am an avid walker and always love to see the sights of new places on foot. San Francisco is one of the best places in the area to explore.

My Wheaten Terrier, Riley, loves to take ME for walks. We like to visit the Paw Park whenever we can. Of course I think she is the cutest dog on the planet!

I love to read (especially young adult novels), visit art museums, and enjoy interior design projects.

I have traveled throughout Europe, have been whitewater rafting, and will always love beautiful beaches. My travel wish list includes more visits to our gorgeous national parks, a cruise of the Greek Islands, and more snorkeling in the aqua blue waters of the Carribean.

I moved here from Florida in order to be closer to my family which makes me very happy! I have a daughter who lives in Walnut Creek and teaches Spanish. Daughter Stephanie and her family recently moved to New Jersey, but hope to return to CA soon. My sister lives in Idaho and often visits which is an added bonus.

I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, moved to Sarasota, Florida to escape the brutal weather, and am now happily living in San Ramon, California which is the best!
