I have been in education for 24 years after graduating from UC Davis, majoring in Managerial Economics. I received my teaching credential in Physical Education from St. Mary’s College.
I enjoy teaching P.E. because I get to see the excitement on a student's face when he/she accomplishes a skill that was challenging. I love to bring a new twist to traditional games and teach students that physical activity should be lifelong for all of us. I am excited to see what each student "brings" to the class and I look forward to learning alongside my students.
When I am not teaching, I am coaching volleyball at Concord H.S. and NorCal Volleyball Club. I am also very involved with my church playing the keyboard and singing with our worship team.
I have been married for 25 years to my high school sweetheart. We have 3 daughters - our oldest is a graduate student at Southwest Baptist University getting her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, our middle daughter is a freshman at UC Santa Cruz playing volleyball for the university team and studying marine biology, and our youngest is a sophomore at Concord High School. Our other family member is our 6 year old black lab, Cal.
I was born in Walnut Creek, CA and grew up in the East Bay area - I went through the SRVUSD school system - John Baldwin Elem., Charlotte Wood (old downtown site), Monte Vista H.S.
I love to travel--a love fostered by my parents. I lived and schooled throughout the South Pacific for a year, and have traveled throughout Europe, USA, and Mexico.
