Hi!  I’ve been teaching at Stone Valley Middle School since 2004.  Prior to teaching here, I taught at Willow Glen Middle School in San Jose.  I received my B.A. in Biology and Business Administration from Western State College of Colorado in the winter wonderland town of Gunnison, Colorado.  I then earned my teaching credential and M.A. in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University. 

I decided to become a teacher after working at summer camps under the direction of inspiring adults.  They all believed in the importance of helping young people grow up conscientiously and teaching in a hands-on, entertaining way.  They made a strong impression on me and helped me realize that I shared in their vision.

I was born in Washington D.C. and raised in both the Beltway Area (Fairfax, VA) and Bay Area.  I have many wonderful memories of both coasts but now total many more years as a Californian.  During my free time I love to hike, snowboard, and explore new places with my family, friends, and trusted dog.
