Principal, Jon Campopiano


 

Jon is entering his third year as Principal of Stone Valley Middle School. Jon was born and raised in the Bay Area, graduated from UC Davis with a degree in International Relations and earned a Masters of Education at UC Santa Barbara. Jon began teaching middle school in 1996 and moved to Northgate High School in 1998. During his twelve years at Northgate, Jon served as the Social Studies Department Chair, WASC coordinator, Leadership teacher, Athletic Director, Varsity Baseball Coach, Freshman Football coach and Assistant Principal. In 2010, Jon was nominated as the MDUSD Administrator of the year. Additionally, Jon served as an Assistant Principal at Miramonte High School in the Acalanes Union High School District. Jon joined the outstanding staff and students of Stone Valley in the fall of 2015. In 2016, Jon was awarded the “Amazing Administrator” award by SRVEA and is thrilled to be work in the best school district in California. Jon is married to Karna and has three children (Sam, Matt and Nico) and loves to spend time with family, coach youth baseball, read and vacation at the beach.
